The Spanish Navy has just accepted the delivery of the Training and Fisheries Cooperation vessel ‘Intermares’ transferred by the General Secretariat for Marine Fisheries. The ceremony was presided over by the Chief of Staff of the Spanish Navy, Admiral Teodoro López Calderón and the Secretary General for Fisheries, Alicia Villauriz Iglesias.
After the signing of the transfer documents, the ship was visited and inspected by a Navy board and later, the ship’s commanding officer Lt-Cdr. Juan Carlos Muñoz-Delgado formally took command of the vessel and received the ship’s ensign.
The ceremony was completed with a parade before the attending military and civilian authorities with the new complement embarking and the ensign solemnly hoisted.
The authorities were then toured around the ‘Intermares’ and signed the ship’s Guest Book.
