AOR ‘Cantabria’ to integrate into the Standing NATO Maritime Group Two (SNMG-2)

This morning, the auxiliary oiler and replenishment ship ‘Cantabria’ left Ferrol (NW Spain) to integrate into the SNMG-2 for two months.

The integration itself will take place off the coast of Galicia and, from there, the whole task group will proceed towards Norwegian waters to participate in the most important series of NATO exercises scheduled every year since 2015: ‘Trident Juncture 18’.

Once those drill come to an end, the SNMG-2 will sail towards the Mediterranean Sea for surveillance operations, naval presence and maritime security exercises.
